What have you done in the past day, month, or year to protect the environment? How often do you think about sustainability issues?

Let's be honest here, I would use it.
But not on my marvelously awesome face, obviously.
I just want to get rid of my thigh fat.

All it takes is a blackout to realize how much we rely on electricity. What's your most memorable story from a power outage?

It was in winter... last winter I think.
I suppose the heating system was set on electric at that moment so the house got relatively cold.
And for those of you who don't know, I have a ball python as a pet.
These guys need the temperature to be around 30 degrees celcius all the time.
And of course the heating lights in his vivarium turned off.
So I had to carry him around the house in my arms to keep him warm until the electricity cam back

If a friend asked you for some new music recommendations, what would you suggest?

Well that would depend on the friend in question you know?
Not all my friends have the same musical tastes, and most of them don't have the same ones as me.

However, I do think there's a Bowie song for everyone out there.
He has done so many different things!
I mean, if you like disco, there's some Bowie for you, if you like folk there's some Bowie for you, if you like dance pop, if you like electronica, if you like post punk, if you like classic rock, anything!
I think there's always a Bowie album for everyone (well except people who really fucking love baroque music I guess... Then I would recommend asking my father, he's much more knowledgeable than I am in that field).

The problem is, pretty much everyone already knows about David Bowie, so there's no point in recommending him, really.

When you have to study or get work done, what music (if any) do you put on to help you concentrate?

View 506 Answers

I'm always listening to music when I'm working, studying, ect.
Which means lately I'm listening to music about 12 hours a day if not more.

I listen to whatever I'm into at the moment, so lately it would be JRock and Visual Kei, with the random indie or punk band here and there.
I must add that listening to the Sisters of Mercy always motivates me a lot, and that if I want to focus on writing a long text for school, chances are I'll put on David Bowie's Space Oddity or Hunky Dory.

Empty parking garages, roadside motels, dark caves, dank basements, overgrown forests—what kind of setting makes you feel nervous?

Hospitals.
Especially the psychiatric wing.

And really crowded places.
Especially the metro asitluhewluktg.
But that's only since I've seen someone getting stabbed in the metro last summer. (it was the only time it ever happened in Montreal, and I just HAD to be sitting right next to where the guy fell to the floor in his own blood. JEEZ)
Anyway, ever since that "incident", I've become a bit agoraphobic.

No matter what language you speak, you've probably come across words or phrases in another language that sound better than their equivalents in your native tongue. What's your favorite word or phrase in a foreign language?

Hm, there's no specific word or phrase.
In general I tend to like the sound of Japanese and German over French.

And erm, specifically "Scheisse" > "merde" hahaha.
